TWISTED IRON THE HAPPENING

Well what a fab day out

I had heard so many great things especially from Yoda about Twisted Iron “The Happening” that it was this year must do activity.

We will skip by the bit where I went wrong finding the place, but arrived to a very warm welcome by some of the smiliest people even on a day when it was a bit splashy.

A nice compact site I found Yoda busy snapping away in the show tent, and wow what a collection of machinery, very much a builder’s show the quality was amazing and great to see part builds, small bikes and large bikes all in one place.

Bev and Russ certainly picked out some of the best bikes I have seen in ages. Still early in the morning many of the builders it has to be said were a little delicate as the night before had been a good party. But they were all passionately discussing modifications, when not being filmed or trying not to be ill while kick starting bikes (really don’t ask).

With plenty of room to view the bikes it was excellent, a few stalls around outside too with custom parts and the like. Loved the cool adapted BMX’s, and the creativity from junk in the trunk, and it is always good to see Wade from Sickboyz. With some many other events on and changeable weather the day visitors were a little on the low side which will have affected any monies that are given to charity as Russ and Bev give any profits to charity I do hope that they made something it’s an ace event.

A brilliant way to spend a weekend and well done to all, oh and bike I would have ridden home, the sweet purple Royal Enfield but then I am getting an urge for an Enfield.

Keep a look out on twistediron.co.uk or facebook for updates on future events.
